Club Match (Kin Cup) - Aarons Lake

Yesterday, the Kin Cup Match was fished at Aarons Lake near Chelmsford. A Club Family pairs competition saw a field of 5 teams on the roadside of the Lake. Though the water level was well down the oxygenating pumps had been in use and the fish were looking active

A warm day though not as hot as recently. With shallow water and mindful of fish care, a mid-match weigh in was decided upon with a 30-minute break.

At that weigh-in Steve and Karen Bence led Stuart and Doug Howell by some 24lb and the match resumed at 12.30 to finish at 15.30.

The final three hours saw some hectic action and at the final weigh-in the roles had been reversed with Stuart and Doug totaling a combined weight of 253lb 11oz to Steve and Karens 218lb 7oz. Third place went to John Horler and CJ with 153lb 4oz.

Stuart and Doug win the Kin Cup.

Three individual weights over 100lb and a good day was had by all.
